My take:
Many of the people I’ve met through “organized” nudism have been Republican. It shouldn’t exactly be a big shock: it’s white people in their fifties and sixties with enough cash to blow on day fees.
The person that owns Shangri La outside of Phoenix is an active Republican and has even held fundraisers at his resort. By the way, he’s had to undergo some of the same attacks as the candidate in the article.
I’ve met one former Republican state legislator at Mira Vista, by the way.
That there are conservatives in nudism is only a surprise to people who have never met a nudist.
