Naturism & Nudism…just my $0.02 for what it might be worth.
What in the world is the fuss and hang up concerning nudity all the time. We all have the same thing, we all know what is under the clothing. If we see it or imagine it, what is the difference.
BODY ACCEPTANCE; I’ve never seen a human body without both perfection and imperfections. If you are worried that your body is ugly or does not meet the “standard”, then the best thing you can do is actually go to a social nudist resort. Within a short time you will have the greatest experience of body acceptance in your life…cause you will quickly experience that these folks have seen it all before, AND that nobody cares so why should you!
Feel free to compare yourself to those around you and you will undoubtedly see much “better and worse” legs, bottoms, breasts, penis, or fatter, slimmer, taller, shorter, older, younger, saggier, firmer, curvier, cut and everything in-between in comparison to your mirror. You will quickly realize that you are as much different as your are the same as everyone else.
CHILDREN: Worried about kids and “what they might see”? Heck they are the most free spirits of all of us. From my experience at family nudist resorts, kids (mine as well) are giggly over nudism for about five minutes and then don’t even notice it anymore…in themselves or anyone else. They are no different than kids at any playground, pool or beach, clothed or not. It is the adults who take the longest to be comfortable in their own skin if someone else might be able to see that skin. Naturism is as much about family as is any activity.
MORALS AND ETHICS: “Those who quickly condemn likely have never experienced.” They often believe that they are proving their morals or personal values when in fact they are displaying mere ignorance to a concept that they have never experienced.
To equate social nudity with sex is typical from a person who has never gone to a nudist resort or naturist retreat. That ignorance is often then extended further to “social nudity is sexual deviance”.
SEXUAL SAFETY: In actuality, most if not all such organized venues require identification and backgrounds. There are strict rules against public sexuality and unwanted advances. One of the resorts I often attend has members who I happened to know are police officers, at least one police chief, a judge, politicians, housewives, retirees and business people.
Further, it is typical that those in attendance are the most vigilant against unwanted sexual advances toward anyone within that social structure, and likewise the “would be victims” are more secure from predators in that environment than in most other venues. If that were not so, we would see the mainstream media headlining such attacks as it would be viewed as great news. We do not.
DIVERSITY, EQUALITY AND STATUS: If you are one of those people who purchase cars, clothing and jewelry to display your status to others verses for your own enjoyment, then a nudist resort will likely have something missing for you. The parking lot is often filled with everything from the family minivan to the Mercedes. People who are nude have no status symbols to project themselves with, thereby creating an environment of complete equality.
WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT: It is not what you experience with your eyes, it is what you experience with the largest organ of your body…your own skin. Experience walking in the summer rain, the sunshine, a windy day, floating all alone in a pool at night and becoming one of the stars above, and interacting with people who have no status symbols to project themselves with, thereby creating an environment of complete equality.
As you view the depictions of nudists on these sites, please take note that almost all these nudists are wearing the same thing…a smile. The two most often go hand-in-hand.
Relax folks…live and let live…and the “let live” part applies to yourself. Take a breath and savor and enjoy life instead of finding something wrong with it!
Take a half hour out of your life and try skinny dipping or walking nude in the open air. Then ask yourself if that isn’t one of the best gifts that you have given to your body and soul in a long time.
